FloatTheTurn

Formally known as SNGIcons, FloatTheTurn has revamped their whole site and now offer MTT, SNG, and limited cash game poker training. As one of the less costly poker training sites and providers of training videos across all stakes, FloatTheTurn is an excellent choice for multi table tournament and sit and go players. The site is fronted by poker mastermind Jonathan Little.

Overview

Float the Turn started its online poker training site life as SNGIcons, and since switching to the much snazzier name has started to garner a lot of attention; thanks to the site’s awesome coaching team that is headlined by 2-Time WPT Champion Jonathan Little.

Float the Turn is a poker tournament training site with a heavy emphasis on Sit & Go poker tournaments, as you would expect from a site previously known as SNGIcons! That said, Float the Turn has also added a massive amount of Multi-table tournament content, mostly by Jonathan Little himself –Little has produced over 100 videos for Float the Turn up to this point—and also by another top online poker tournament player Chip ‘z32fanatic’ Ferguson.

Target Population

Float the Turn is designed exclusively for tournament poker players, but the site is definitely no one-trick-pony: Float the Turn covers every conceivable structure and format for Multi-Table tournaments, as well as Sit & Go tournaments.

If you are a tournament poker player Float the Turn should definitely be on your short-list of potential online poker training sites to join.

Unique Features

One of things that sets Float the Turn apart from their competitors is the community feel of the site, and not just amongst the members on the site’s forums, the community feel also extends to the coaching team. Virtually the entire Float the Turn coaching staff is available for 1-on-1 private training and fairly active in the forums and on their blogs.

Coaching Team

The coaching team at Float the Turn includes some of the top tournament minds in poker, not to mention some of the top-performers! Float the Turn probably has the largest collection of Sit and Go poker pros out of any online poker training site. The most recent addition to the Float the Turn team is Demystify727, who is a double-threat at FloattheTurn, a multi-table AND Sit & Go specialist!
As I said in the opening, the bulk of the coaching staff are S&G players, with Little and z32fanatic handling most of the multi-table tournament content. Most of the coaches stick to a certain format for their training videos, with a few of the better-rounded players taking on a number of different S&G formats. Although there is always the random video here or there.

For instance: JasonKobe’s video focus on Double-or-Nothing Sit & Go tournaments while HotJenny314 specializes in Super-Turbos. Iftarri and RiceStud handle the Heads-Up S&G content and DarinVG plays 9-Man S&G’s.

As far as pricing goes Float the Turn is somewhere in the middle of the pack compared to other online poker training sites. The first month of your membership at Float the Turn will cost $99.95 (which includes the one-time initiation fee) and is re-billed at a mere $19.95/month thereafter.

Overall

Overall there is little to complain about at in this Float the Turn review. The site doesn’t pretend to be an all-around poker training site, and for the areas they focus on they are one of the best in the business. The site routinely adds coaches into the mix, and the release schedule for new videos will keep you busy with new content.
